Why there is a KFIRE

"I pay taxes, too!" says the illegal worker . . .
"Whose social security number did you steal?" asks an American.

Many folks ask themselves, "Why do we need a KFIRE? Don't we have laws already on the books?  Don't we have officials  and a President with a sworn duty to uphold the laws of the United States and to protect us from illegal aliens lawlessly breaking into our country?"  Of course we do, but some people are failing to do their sworn duty. From the President down to the local police chief we have officials failing to do their sworn duty. The laws are simply not being applied or enforced as written.  So to force some kind of positive action to change this dangerous situation brought upon us by the lack of enforcement, we have formed KFIRE.

Founding Document: KFIRE Kentuckians for Immigration Reform and Enforcement

Purpose:  To join with citizens and like-minded organizations across the country to combat illegal immigration through peaceful and lawful means.

Beliefs regarding immigration:

a. Our city and state is threatened by ever growing numbers of illegal aliens who are organized and pushing for relaxation of current laws and amnesty to allow their continued infiltration into society bypassing immigration laws made to protect U.S. Citizens.
b. Illegal aliens are endangering the physical and economic well being of every citizen and the state.c. U.S. citizens and legal immigrants need to be seen in numbers supporting the laws of the United States and disapproving of those violating them.
d. If we don't come out and act now to stop it, the 40 to 60 thousand estimated illegal aliens in our area alone will double in number in a few years.
e. We don't want to be a sanctuary city! Sanctuary cities are acting in rebellion to the immigration laws of the United States that are for the good of all citizens and are, thereby, harming the citizenry of their area and the United States.
f. We want our children to be able to benefit from their parents and grandparent's hard work to build up our society, not see it stolen from them by those who jumped the fence and skirted our laws.
g. We support legal immigration for people of all origins that controls the numbers and types of immigrants, screening for felony backgrounds, and screening for communicable diseases and screening for potential terrorists.
h. We support participation in the I.C.E. 287(g) partnership program which states, "Terrorism and criminal activity are most effectively combated through a multiagency/multi-authority approach that encompasses federal, state and local resources, skills and expertise. State and local law enforcement play a critical role in protecting our homeland security because they are often the first responders on the scene when there is an incident or attack against the United States. During the course of daily duties, they will often encounter foreign-born criminals and immigration violators who pose a threat to national security or public safety."  (Taken from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement web site: U.S.I.C.E.)
i. We support local, state, and national legislation that will increase our border security and limit future illegal immigration. We also support legislation and rules increasing enforcement against criminal businesses and landlords.
j. The enemies of this cause are using every means to gain acceptance among the American communities, including their freedom of religion, speech, and the press, and to petition government to redress grievances. We pledge to use every means available to us including our freedom of religion to invoke the blessing and help of God, our freedom of speech and the press to inform and persuade our fellow citizens, and our right to petition our government for the redress of grievances whereby, in a united effort with a common cause, we can help change the course of our communities, Commonwealth, and Country!
