(Louisville, KY) --
A huge pot bust in Louisville. Narcotics officers end months of
investigation with the arrest of 5 people and seizure of more than 1,200
pounds of marijuana.

The five will now face federal charges of conspiracy to possess marijuana
with intent to distribute. 41-year-old Ernest Rojas (roe-haus), 47-year-old
Rigoberto Ochoa (oh-cho-uh), 26-year-old Yyette Ochoa, 49-year-old Edmundo
Portillo, and 33-year-old Douglass Parrett were arrested Thursday.

Lt. Kim Kraeszig says three of the five arrested were in the country
illegally, but declined to name which ones. Kraeszig says these arrests end
months of hard work by several organizations. She says the local
distributors have been identified, as well as the suppliers in Mexico.

The estimated street value of the marijuana is more than $1-million dollars.
