Dear Representative Lee, (Kentucky State Legislator, house minority
leader - a good man)
Don't you think Kentucky should be on this list of states planning to
crack down on illegal immigration. It is my estimate that already over
200,000 illegals live in Kentucky, perhaps many more than that. In
past surveys in the mid 2000's, around 55,000 Hispanics in the
Lexington area were thought to be illegal aliens. In Louisville,
closer to 90,000. Given the continual incoming traffic of illegals
into our state, that population is growing rapidly from what I can
observe. Considering that rural areas, horse farms and other farms are
not included in those numbers, it is easy to see how the number back
then was even around 200,000. With only a 5% increase, that would add
another 10,000, but what if that number was 5% per year for five
years? That would be another 50,000 illegal aliens!
Sir, I do not think I am out of line to tell you that the problem is
far more severe than people realize. A lady I met last week who
travels all over the Lexington area for her business, told me that she
has seen the increase in recent years and she described how
neighborhoods that once were mostly black, are now Hispanic. I've seen
this same phenomena where I live. On my block alone there are about 5
Hispanic families and one just moved next door to me last week. All
still speak Spanish as their main language. They are by no means
assimilating into our culture, nor do they intend for that to happen
by the way they live around their American neighbors. They keep to
themselves and their race. This is very disturbing.
Please consider coming up with a bill that would address this problem
in Kentucky. You may think that there is not the support, but I tell
you plainly, your bills lack support because they are NOT as close to
the people in their condemnation of this issue. We are looking for a
champion who will stand up for the common people of Kentucky, not the
elitists who abuse the illegal aliens for their own gain.
I have recently made alliances with a couple larger Kentucky groups
and am continuing to do so. The numbers that will support such
legislation with phone calls, faxes, visits to Frankfort are growing.
They are also working to replace liberal men and women in office now
that obstruct good laws. It's not that those numbers were small, but
those organized to do something to combat the evil that is spreading
in our land were in the beginning stages. The vast majority of
Americans want local and state police to ask for verification of
citizenship or legal status of everyone they pull over or talk to
during their common duties.
Please consider seriously this request. I will gladly help with any
research or efforts that are needed. I have also asked folks to help
you with your re-election. There are many folks out there, some I've
met personally, that are strong supporters in your area. Many are just
waking up to the need to participate in local and state elections.
Sincerely yours for justice and a return to the rule of law,
Douglas M. Roy

Dear President Obama:
It is clear that Scott Brown's pro-jobs, pro-American worker stance
carried more weight with Massachusetts' voters than Martha Coakley's
pro-amnesty beliefs.
Mr. President, it's time to lower the numbers of legal immigrants. We
cannot sustain a million immigrants per year, much less another
million illegal immigrants per year. This is unacceptable. It is your
duty to enforce the laws of the United States regarding illegal
immigration, not to acquiesce to those subverting our laws and wanting
amnesty so they won't be prosecuted for their multiple violations.
Americans need jobs, sir, and they cannot continue to compete with
those undermining the rule of law and working illegally along with the
large numbers of legal immigrants.
I have been in construction for 36 years and this is the worst economy
I have yet to see and illegal aliens have flooded the trades! I'm
working part time for the last several years to stay afloat. I do not
take govt. assistance, but illegals are constantly on the doles,
taking food stamps, housing assistance, free medical assistance and so
on. It is shameful and appalling that you've allowed this to continue.
George Bush also failed on this point. You have the power to do
enforce the law.....no, the duty and responsibility!

December 17th, 2009
Dear Representative Crenshaw,
I am a local contractor and am very concerned about the state of
our economy and especially the state of lawlessness in regards
to the use of illegal alien workers by competing businesses. The
reason I've included the state of the economy is that I believe
there is a direct connection to the current jobless rate among
Americans and the unchecked high numbers of illegal aliens
within our work force.
Contrary to the popular opinion that illegals only do jobs
Americans won't do, and by personal observation, I have seen a
great number of illegal workers, mostly of Hispanic origin,
flood into our communities, taking a great number of
construction and other jobs from American workers. Here are a
list of areas I've personally seen the increase: concrete,
framing, roofing, drywall, painting, flooring/carpeting,
masonry, landscaping, food services, housecleaning and
business/commercial housekeeping services, horse related trades,
to name some. Sir, I am discouraged to see so little done at
the state level to put a curb to this illegal trafficking in
labor. I am hoping you will help sponsor legislation to help
stop contracts to any businesses hiring illegal aliens
employees, especially those working for the state. I would even
like to see such restrictions put on local businesses in support
of federal law prohibiting the employment of illegal aliens.
Keep in mind that I am not opposed to legal immigration
whatsoever! My great grandparents were such and I am proud of
that fact. It is those who refuse to go through the legal means
used by nearly a million immigrants every year in the United
States. When these large numbers of illegals flood our state and
take jobs from Kentuckians, those law abiding companies are hurt
by the competition their lower wages afford to their law
breaking employers. We cannot expect the feds to do this job by
themselves. Neither do we expect the FBI alone to deal with bank
robbers committing federal felonies, but local and state police
always assist in these matters. How much more do we need the
help of state and local law enforcement during this state of
national crisis with multiple millions of illegal employees
taking the very bread out of the mouths of Kentuckians? Tax
revenues are depleted when these illegal workers walk away with
cash wages, refusing to pay state income tax and so are the
revenues from complicit businesses lowered by these off the book
wages. Sir, this ought not to be allowed when our state is
scrounging to find revenue when its being illegally diverted
under our very noses by thousands of businesses.
Representative Crenshaw, isn't it time for Americans to stand up
for each other over illegal foreigners who want the best of
America, but are not willing to dot the i's and cross the T's
necessary to enter and work legally within our country? Please
do not wait for someone else to do this job. It is within your
power to assist us as our representative in Kentucky. Please
support all such legislation that will be presented in the
coming session.
Yours truly with best regards and wishes for a Merry Christmas,

Sen. Kathy Stein
Capitol Annex, 702 Capitol Avenue, Room 255
Frankfort, KY 406013448
Dear Senator Stein:
I cannot fathom why our state has not yet obliged employers to
verify the eligibility of new employees. Please propose legislation
that would require employers to use the E-Verify system so that our
state's unemployed have a decent chance of finding a job.
Workers in our state should not have to compete with illegal aliens
for jobs, particularly during a recession. You can remedy this by
working to pass a mandatory E-Verify bill.
If you are not familiar with E-Verify, you should know that 96.9
percent of those checked through E-Verify are automatically authorized
for employment within seconds. Of the remaining 3.1 percent, only 0.3
percent needed to clear up errors in their Social Security
Administration records. The rest are not authorized to work in the
U.S.
Already, one in four new hires in the U.S. are being checked for
workplace eligibility under E-Verify. The program has an
extraordinarily high satisfaction rate and, contrary to what critics
claim, is not a burden on employers and cannot be used selectively for
verification based on foreign appearance.
Unfortunately, President Obama made it clear in his State of the Union
address that he would not mandate the use of E-Verify nationwide in
order to create jobs for American workers. Therefore, our state must
act on its own.
Please help your unemployed constituents by sponsoring an E-Verify
bill today.
