Homeland Security Frees 27 Illegal Immigrants, Sends Them Back to Work

Response by Doug Roy

Homeland Security Director Janet Napolitano

Department of Homeland Security

Dear Director,

I am writing in response to the recent action taken in Bellingham, Washington at the auto parts plant. Although I agree wholeheartedly in charging employers of illegal aliens per the law, I also concur with the rest of immigration laws that hold illegal aliens responsible for violations of the law. Clearly we have a double standard in law enforcement, especially when your department went so far as to reward 27 of the illegal workers with employment authorization!

By what laws are you granted this right? It is certainly not U.S. law. According to the 4th Amendment to our Constitution there is to be equal treatment under the law to all who violate the law. Clearly this is not the case in your department. What about the laws that punish people for stolen I.D.s and reporting falsely in their tax returns and lying to employers about their identity, obtaining work without proper permits? What about the laws that charge all who enter the U.S. to enter via port or border authority with proper clearance with penalties of fines and imprisonment for disobeying? What about laws that require proper screening for disease and background checks?  Have you read Title 8 of the U.S. Code? You are ignoring multiple violations of the law and rewarding these illegal aliens contrary to your oath of office and the laws of the United States.

I believe in light of all these infractions against your oath and our Constitutions, you should resign from your position immediately to allow someone else to take your position who believes in the laws of the United States and takes their oath of office seriously.

Sincerely,

Douglas Roy
