National Non-Profit Begins Providing Illegal Alien

Employment Screening Services for Free

Dallas, TX – September 10, 2007 – Today ProAmerica Companies, Inc. (a rising, moderate, non-profit anti-illegal hiring organization) announced today that it will now provide the Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify Services for free to all of its members.  See details at www.ProAmericaCompanies.com/EVerify.html

The E-Verify program is voluntary, and offers employers a “safe harbor” from prosecution in exchange for their efforts to run the social security numbers of all their new-hires through the DHS’s E-Verify database program.  ProAmerica Companies will now operate as an agent to all of its participating members, and run those verification services as an Authorized Designated Agent.

“This is unprecedented,” said David Marlett, Executive Director of ProAmerica Companies.  “The ProAmerica mission is one of finding the positive around us, and of promoting personal responsibility, and taking the excuses out of the hands of illegal employers: American employers of illegal aliens.  We promote and assist ‘good guy’ businesses in America who take the ProAmerica Oath not to knowingly hire illegal aliens.  Today, with E-Verify,  we add a huge service for those members.  To our knowledge, this isn’t offered by anyone else for free.”

There are a number of for-profit companies which offer E-Verify services for fees in the range of $250 for set-up and $35 per employee screened.  ProAmerica Companies has no fee at all for its members.  The mission is to aid its members, sign up many more, and to squeeze illegal employers into making the right decisions.  This comes just after the federal court in San Francisco stopped a planned DHS enforcement action against illegal employers.

“We take the excuses out of the mouths of America business owners,” added Marlett.  “They can no longer hide behind the skirts of our impotent and corptocracy governments and biased courts.  The law is clear: it is a felony to knowingly employ illegal aliens.  Where has the moral fiber of this country gone?  What are we teaching our children — it is ok to commit a felony when you won’t get caught?  This is insanity on a national level.  To stop it business owners must make a pledge to follow the law, to refuse to harm our nation in trade for larger profits.  And it is up to us, the individuals who hire these illegal businesses.  We must pay a fair and legal price for fair and legal services.  Why?  Simple.  Because America matters.”

Over 10,000 businesses in America will shutter their doors this year alone due to the inability to compete against illegal employers.  ProAmerica Companies, and the ProAmerica Movement, believes in the “good guys”, the companies who “play by the rules” and refuse to exploit illegal aliens, break our laws and abuse our social services in order to line their pockets with ill-gotten profits.  Most Americans want to do business with legal employers, but have a difficult time finding them.  ProAmerica Companies works to bring them together.
