Letter received by email from my sister-in-law:

Dear President Obama,

I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for my wife's health, and I would like to ask you to assist me. We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements..

We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.

So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Calderon, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

Free medical care for my entire family.

English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

All Mexico government forms, printed in Spanish, need to also be printed in English.

I want my kids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking (bi-lingual) teachers.

Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school.

Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don't plan to purchase car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn local traffic laws.

In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol car has at least one English-speaking officer.

I plan to fly the US flag from my house top, put US flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, or have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.

Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be extremely nice and never say a critical thing about me or my family, or about the strain we might place on their economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all his people who come to the U.S. from Mexico . I am sure that President Calderon won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.

The second Rasmussen poll, released March 17, highlighted strong support for local law enforcement of immigration laws. According to the poll, 73% of voters say that police officers should automatically check to see if someone is in the country legally when the officer pulls that person over for a traffic violation, while only 21% disagree. Furthermore, 67% of voters say that if law enforcement officers know of places where immigrants gather to find work, they should conduct surprise raids to identify and deport illegal aliens."

Friday, December 4th. I spoke with Harry Neack who works in Rep. Ben Chandler's Washington office. He noted that the majority of calls and faxes they receive are regarding the illegal alien issue and employers who hire them. There is no doubt that this is a top level issue on the minds of Americans hit hardest by this invasion. The loss of jobs, loss of salary and wages, increased taxes - property and otherwise, increased health insurance cost, more crowded hospital emergency rooms and maternity wards, damaged financial markets influenced greatly by a significant number of defaulted loans to illegal aliens in the sub prime markets, all thorns in the sides of American citizens.

The Rev. Dr. Nancy Jo Kemper, director of the KY Council of Churches, advocates for compassion toward illegal aliens among us and loving our neighbor. Perhaps Nancy Jo needs to read some of the articles on our web site about the harm the current "compassionate" attitude has brought upon American citizens. Write Rev.
